Gaetano M. Golinelli is Professor Emeritus of Business Management at Sapienza University of Rome Italy. He is also president of the CUEIM Foundation and scientific director of Sinergie, Italian Journal of Management. Before starting his career as a university professor, he worked with firms in various industries. He is one of the most well-known and accredited Italian university professors of business administration. In his long academic career, he has been the author of many works, including articles, papers, monographs, collected books, and conference proceedings. He was one of the first scholars to introduce project portfolio management applied to businesses in Italy. His research is still ongoing: on the basis of the Viable Systems Approach, he is now studying the relationship between viability and sustainability of firms.
